Dear Mr. Hinckley:
This letter will serve to follow up our meeting concerning the unplatted property
which abuts Lots 16 through 26 of the Lake Park Addition.
Pursuant to your request, the undersigned reviewed your plans to convey by meets
and bounds description the unplatted property abutting Lots 16 through 26 of the Lake
Park Addition to the adjoining homeowners without replatting the property. It is the City's
position that building permits will not be issued for the construction of fences or other
improvements on any portion of the unplatted property. Since the subject property does
not front on a public street or alley, it may not be subdivided into separate lots. In the
absence of a replat of the concerned lots to include the unplatted property abutting
Denton Creek, building permits may not be issued for the construction of fences or other
improvements since such structures would not be located on a lot or tract which is a part
of a plat of record.
