No. 1 c/o Mr. Paul Phy 8300 Douglas Ave., Suite 800 Dallas, TX 75225 Subject: Proposed Relocation 27" Interceptor Sewer in Lakewood Estates Gentlemen: 'The following is an update of our study of the 27" relocation through Lakewood Estates. sewer Basically two (2) relocation routes have been proposed by the developer of Lakewood Estates, Mr. Waymon Levell. Plan A (attached) is the original plan submittal by the developer which would replace 950 feet of existing 27 inch diameter corrugated metal (CGM) sewer line with 1,309 feet of 30 inch diameter polyvinylchloride (PVC) sewer line. It is necessary to increase the pipe size in order to compensate for the longer distance of the relocated line. Plan B would replace 1,300 feet of existing 27" CGM sewer line with 2,135 feet of 30" PVC sewer line. The sewer lines in this area are approximately 16 feet deep. Therefore, provisions must be made for future maintenance of these sewers by providing adequate easements and proper locations. The construction cost of the two (2) plans, based on Legend Construction Company's bid price, (the lowest of 4 bidders) is as follows: Plan A $109,209 Plan B $161,335 While Plan B is $52,126 more expensive, it is obviously the best location for the District's line since it is located in a minor street and in an easement that is in the rear of deep lots. There will be less interference in the future with traffic and access to Owner's property during maintenance of the sewer after the subdivision is developed.
