We do need a detailed tree survey of the property in order to properly assess the damage which might
occur to existing trees during construction. The Tree Preservation Credit will eliviate any amount of
reparation due on this proposed development.

Brad,
Please review the attached..He is correct that preserving trees allows him to fulfill 100% of his required
planting of new trees (per section 34-7(G) and Section 34-2-13 Tree Replacement Credits) however, per
subsection 2.(c), only 50% of the replacement credit can be obtained through the preservation of existing
trees.., and this is also is based on a detailed tree survey.
Bottom line.., even if he exceeds the required landscaping (by 250 caliper inches), he still needs to
replace % the caliper inches removed.
