Dear Mr. Ratliff:
As you know, the extension of our preliminary plat by City Council was approved
based upon our completing our portion of Samuel Boulevard prior to the
commencement of the 1989 fall school year.
Enclosed is a preliminary schedule for both the City approval and construction
phases of our development. This schedule is very optimistic and does not
provide for any possible delays encountered in the City approval process,
M.U.D. approval process, or construction. The schedule calls for the paving to
be complete by mid-August. I feel that as developers, we can commit to pushing
our contractors to finish their work on schedule, but the City and M.U.D.
approvals are out of our hands. I am asking for any help you and your staff
might be able to provide to us in processing our plat and plans in a timely
manner. Additionally, as soon as we have determined the estimated costs of the
engineering, drainage improvements and paving for the City's section of Samuel
Boulevard (being that section that connects our section to Sandy Lake Road), I
would like for the City and our firm to enter into an agreement that provides
for the payment and construction management.
