Dear Richard:
Your letter and accompanying materials arrived this morning. We will get the waiver request
to City Council as soon as possible.
We had already prepared the agenda for next Thursday's Development Review Committee
meeting. However, I will take the item informally. I anticipate no objection from the group
to our scheduling review of the landscape plans by the Planning and Zoning Commission at its
next meeting on August 17. Assuming that the Commission approves the landscape plans, we
will schedule the screening waiver request for City Council to consider on September 12.
In your letter of May 26 to Mayor Morton you mentioned that you have 13.89 acres under
contract. In the letter we received today you identified the tract as Lot 1, Block 6. So that this
will not come as a surprise later, you need to be aware that Prentice has not replatted Block 6
into lots. While the Inspections Department can issue a building permit on the entirety of Block
6 (21.2391 acres), replatting is required to build on less than that.
The earliest timetable for replatting is submission to Planning and Zoning Commission on
September 21 and to City Council on October 10. If Prentice wants to be on that cycle, we will
need to receive the application and drawings before noon on Wednesday, August 16.
