Re: Review of Paving and Drainage Improvements on
Parkway Boulevard and Moore Road
Gentlemen and Mrs. Thompson:
As per the request of Mr. Scott Barnett, we have completed our review
of the above referenced plans to determine their compliance with the
City's requirements and do hereby offer the following:
Right-of-Way Plat
A. Plate No. i
Engineers seal needs to be put on plat.
Location, type of material and approximate size of
all right-of-way markers, or monuments, need to be
indicated on plat.
Drainage Area Map
A. Plate No. 2
1. Drainage area map shows only one type of run-off
coefficient as being 0.45. City's zoning map shows
otherwise. Please refer to City's zoning map.
2. Indicate direction of storm water flow with flow arrows.
3. Drainage area map is incomplete. It does not show
drainage areas that will actually drain into proposed
street. This needs to be shown on drainage area map.
Paving - Parkway Boulevard
A. Plate No. 3
1. The angle of centerline of street intersection needs
to be shown on plan.

2. Curb return radius also needs to be shown on plan.
3. Recommend for concrete pavement to be no less than 8
inches thick.
4. Subdivision regulations call for 3500 P.S.I. concrete
for this type of street classification. Also if
plasticity index of the subgrade is 12 or more, lime
stabilization will be required.
5. The proposed street pavement improvements, it appears,
will be built above the existing natural ground. Is
this because the proposed street improvements are within
the lO0-year flood plain. If so, lO0-year flood eleva-
tion needs to be indicated on plans.
6. Flow arrows need to be shown on plan.
B. Plate No. 4
1. Same as comments for Plate No. 3.
2. Proposed top of curb for north side of street needs to
be shown on profile.
3. Bench mark not shown on plan.
4. Drainage easement for storm sewer lateral needs to be
provided outside of proposed right-of-way.
C. Plate No. 5
1. Same as comments for Plate Nos. 3 and 4.
2. Same as comments 2 and 4 for Plate No. 4.

1. Sanitary sewer layout for Lines "B" and "C" is not
included with plans.
2. At all proposed sanitary sewer manhole locations, provide
a minimum of 0.10 feet difference in flow line elevations
between the incoming pipe and outgoing pipe.
1. The plan profile sheets for the paving improvements need
to show all the proposed, or existing improvements on
the plan. Such as water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer
improvements.
2. Separate plan profile sheets for storm sewer improvements
have not been provided for Parkway Boulevard.
3. Details for paving, drainage, water and sanitary sewer
improvements have not been provided for Parkway Boulevard
nor Moore Road.
4. Other comments noted on plans.
