Dear Mr. Karahan:
After further research into your concerns regarding a site plan being submitted with regard to
the NafionsBank development proposal at MacArthur Boulevard and Beltline Road, I find that
you did, indeed, include construction drawings with your December submittal. Although
construction drawings are not reviewed by the Development Review Committee, I can see where
you would feel that our review of those plans endorsed the project.
Therefore, after further discussions with Greg Jones, Building Officer; Pete Smith, City
Attorney; and Jim Witt, City Manager, we have agreed that the procurement of a Special Use
Permit for a drive-in bank facility is not required at this time, and we will proceed with the
issuance of the building permit for the banking facility at the earliest possible date.
