modifications at Moore Road and authorizing execution of
contract.
Following discussion of this item, Councilman Smothermon moved that a
contract be awarded to Arjang Electrical Systems, Inc. in the amount of
$146,387.00 for traffic signal improvements as indicated in the caption
of this item and authorizing execution of the contract. Councilman
Morton seconded the motion; motion carried 7-0 with Mayor Pro Tem
Wilkerson, Councilman Thomas, Morton, Smothermon, Cowman, Robertson and
Nelson voting in favor of the motion. Council urged that the
installation of the Parkway and Denton Road traffic signal be
constructed as soon as possible due to the upcoming opening of the High
School.

single family homes, located east of Denton Tap Road and south
of Hidden Valley Drive and authorizing the Mayor to sign.
Councilman Smothermon moved to approve consent agenda items 20A through
20-0 and authorizing the Mayor to sign. Councilman Morton seconded the
motion; motion carried 7-0 with Mayor Pro Tem Wilkerson, Councilmen
Thomas, Morton, Smothermon, Cowman, Robertson and Nelson voting in favor

For and in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements herein
contained, the City of Coppetl hereinafter called "City" and C~atez Real
~t&to ~r~or&ti(~hereinafter called "Developer", do hereby agree as
follows, to-wit:
W~EREAS, the current City policies (Subdivision Ordinance Appendix A,
Section 17) require that in new areas, a Developer install major public
improvements where required in or adjacent to said addition. Developer
has elected to develop S~a~wW~a Eetate~,an Addition in the City of
Coppell, Dallas County, Texas. In lieu of the developers obligation to
construct their 1/2 Of the paving and dxainape improvements on Coppell
Road, along their frontage (ime exhibit A), Developer agrees to place in
escrow $90,070.00 for the construction of aforesaid major public
improvements. This dollar amount being based on the current pro rata
charges estimated at $100.00 per front foot cost for the improvements for
a four (4) lane undivided thoroughfare as previously discussed herein.
THEREFORE, the Developer does hereby deposit $90,070.00, which will be
held in the sole name oi the City in an interest bearing account to draw
interest at the current rate. No withdrawals shall be made until such
time as the above mentioned improvements are made. After completion and
acceptance of the above mentioned improvements by the City, the difference
between the escrowed funds (original amount escrowed plus accrued
interest) and the actual cost shall be refunded to the Developer. In the
event that actual cost of above mentioned improvements exceed the escrowed
funds (original amount escrowed plus accrued interest) the Developer will
be assessed the difference. Payable within ten (10) days of notice.
THE CITY may issue Building Permits on the aforesaid property without the
requirement of the aforementioned improvements, and upon deposit of Escrow
Funds described herein.
