I appeared in front of Planning and Zoning when the tract at the corner of Tweed and Coppell Road was brought up for zoning and was changed from retail to SF-7 and a small strip of SF-12. The Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Bill Johnson, kept telling us that we were lucky to get the zoning out from retail. I do not think that this is pertinent. There is too much retail space present in Coppell already. The owner of the land is being overburdened by the taxes he is paying for retail and wants to get the zoning changed from retail to residential. Due to the quality of the neighborhood and due to the excess amount of water drainage that this would cause, I think this tract ought to be upgrade to SF-12. Sincerely, Melvin Gross, M.D. MG/CSI%139
