Mr. Ccump,
Attached is a rough revised plan for thc U-Haul property in Coppell, Texas. I appreciate
your taking thc time to review it for me.
Basically, the chang~ amounts to attaching the fire lane to the adjacent property rather
~hau trying to wrap it around the building- This results in tlme elimination of thc awkward
turn azound the building as well as the fire lane adjacent to thc west side of thc b~lding.
There is still a rue lane directly adjacent to the south side of the building however- The
city landscape requirements make it difficult to altc~ this condition. If there is something
else wc can do in this area (additional hydrant ex each cower?) I would appreciate any
suggestions you might have.
Thank you a~ain for your assistance.

Dear Mr. Evans:
This letter is to follow up our telephone conversation yesterday, September 25, 2000. As discussed on the
telephone, the faxed site plan you sent me concerning the U-Haul site located in Coppell may be acceptable
if the following conditions are met:
1. All portions of the building are within 150 feet of a fire lane.
2. A mutual access agreement is in place between U-Haul and Jack In The Box for the shared fire
lanes.
3. All fire lane radii met the Coppell fire code requirements.
4. No landscaping between the fire lanes and the building interferes with firefighter access.
Since the faxed drawing is not to scale and does not provide all the detail needed in order to properly
review the site plan, additional cormxtents and requirements may become apparem once a proper plan is
submitted. Please keep in mind that this courtesy review was done by the Fire Department only. This
proposal is subject to a full review by all other City departments once the plan has been properly submitted.
tf you have any questions, please contact me at (972) 304-3503.
Sincerely,
Travis R. (:rump
