Dear Edward,
Per your request, this letter is to inform you as to the reasons why staff has
suggested vacating the final plat for the Villages of Coppell, Phase II. Your
plat was not submitted in time enough to file application for a replat. State
law requires that all property owners within a subdivision to be replatted; must
be notified, and a legal advertisement must be placed in the newspaper.
Since staff had placed your item on the Planning and Zoning Commission agenda,
in my absence, for November 19, 1987, I consulted the City Attorney and he
advised me to request that you make an application to vacate the original plat,
and then seek approval of a preliminary plat. I have placed the consideration
of approval of the plat, as a two-part consideration, so that you do not loose
the full rights and privileges of the original plat that is filed with the County
Records office.
