The test specimen consisted of one nominal 1220 by 1830 nun [48 by 72 inoV aluminum single hung
window with thermally-b~'oken fr~ manufactured, deslguated model "2700' and submitted for test by
General Alumintun of C~colton, Texas~ The OPer~]~ sash measured approximately 760 by 1155
[$0 by 45-3/8 inche~]; the fixed sash measured :Lvptoximately 1055 by 1155 mm [41.1/2 by 45-$/$].
Insulated glazing h~ both sashes comM~! of an' exterior pane of DSB glass, nominal thickness 8.2 mm
[1/8 Inches], a 16 mm [$/8 incA] airspace and an interior pane of SSB glass.' no-a,al thick,,ess
{3/3~ inch]. For .the {~t the glazing units wer~ taped into ~ho sash,, resting in the bedding on the
e~terl0r sld~ and affixed.with ~uctape on the Interior aide. The operable aa~h wa~ sealed to tho i~amo
by a dual row of pIl~ ~& seal weatherstrip {with flap] on tho.~torior sash face an4 a single row of katie
