Centex letter re ZCJOn-14-O0 02:47P CENTEX VIA FACSIMILE AND U.S. MAIL June 14, 2000 DEVELOPMENT COMPANY P.02 P.O. BOx 1990(]'0 r, Tex8.8 7~21 9-9000 Il&a, Tex~s 75201 one: 214 981-6770 Mr. Gary Sieb Director of Planning City of Coppell 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, TX 75019 Re.' Approximately 1.60 acres owned by Centex Development Company ("Centex") located at the southeast comer of S.H. 121 and Denton Tap in Coppell, Texas. Dear Gary: It was a pleasure meeting with you and Marcie Diamond on Tuesday, May 30, 2000 to discuss the above-mentioned property owned by Centex. I was pleased to hear that the proposed rczoning of the property has been put back on the Planning & Zoning agenda tbr July 20, 2000 particularly because of what we discussed about not receiving notice and learning of the rezoning on the day of the P&Z meeting. As we discussed, we finalizing our negotiations with Burger King and are very concerned about what impact rezoning the property may have because of the additional setback requirements already in place along Denton Tap and S.H. 121 and the City's sensitivity to its' ultimate development. I was pleased to hear that you and your staff would support the use of a last food restaurant like Burger King on this site. I believe that it would be an excellent use for this site and a tremendous amenity to the City o1' Coppell. Your support at P&Z and City Council is critical to its' final approval so I am encouraged that we are in agreement on this proposed use. We are currently examining the impact that the proposed rezoning has on our property and are continuing to move forward with Burger King as well, based on our meeting. I would like to get together again next week to discuss the rezoning further with you at your convenience. I will call you later this week to schedule a meeting time. Thank you for your time regarding this matter. Jun-14-O0 02:47P P.03 Mr. Gary Sieb June 14,2000 Page 2 Sincerely. Daniel B. Anderson Vice President cc: Marcie Diamond
