It was not until aftez that we found that our oldest child had s~ educational needs which needed to be met to succeed properly in school. We work hard to maintain our property, and make many sacrifices to do so. We do not wish the quality of our area toLbe marred by the construction of multi-family "meqa" apartment complexes borderinq our property. For this reason we feel we must speak out against the zoning of the land called Sandy Lake/Whispering Hills as multi-family. Not only ours, but four (4] other subdivi- sions are concerned: Shadow Woods, Cottonwood Creek, Summer Place, and Whispering Hills. Thislproperty would adversely affect these subdivisions because of close proximity to all single family homes. It would also affect the entire area west of Denton Tap Road because of drainage problems, and a severe amount of traffic which would be dumped on already busy roadways. We do not wish the school our children attend, Wilson Elementary, to be so adversely affected by a huge load of children, living in apartment complexes, Which place only a drain on our school system, and bear nome of the burden of taxes so desperately needed to support the schools. In the.age of Robinhood, we are already bein~ hurt enough. Can t we have a break from our own representatives here in Copp~ll? We pay enormous taxes, and we fe~l that we have quality schools, but we are already subs!dazing many of Texas' other districts. Can't we take cafe of our own interests first?
