Dear Mr. Hinckley:
This letter is to inform you that Case No. PD-223-C and S-1114-C. Kimbel Addition, zoning change
request from C (Commercial), S-1085-C and S-1114-C to PD-223-C and S-1114-C (Planned Development
223-Commercial and Special Use Permit 1114-Commercial) to allow the construction of two retail/medical
buildings, a bank, the retention of an existing take-out restaurant (S-lll4-C, Papa John's) and a portion of
an existing retail structure, totaling 25,245-square-feet, and to allow a reduction in landscaped areas,
required setbacks, alternative signage colors, sizes and locations and other deviations from the
requirements of the Zoning Ordinance, on 2.9 acres of property located at the northeast comer of Sandy
Lake Road and MacArthur Boulevard, was unanimously denied by the Coppell Planning and Zoning
Commission (7-0) on Thursday, April 19, 2007.
As specified in Section 12-44-6.2 of the Zoning Ordinance, if you wish to appeal the decision of the
Planning and Zoning Commission to City Council, a written request to appeal must be submitted to the
Planning Department within 15 days of the Commission denial action. If you wish to appeal, expedite
your case and have it heard at the May 8, 2007, City Council meeting, we will need to have your request
in our hands no later than 12 noon, Friday, April 27, 2007.
