RE: The Hollows at Northlake Woodlands located at the TP&L lines and Dart railroad tracks.
Dear Candy:
This letter is sent to you regarding the City Councils actions on I~lay 12, 1998 changing the
TH-1 (Town House) zoning to SF-9 (Single Family-9). The City's land plan calls for this
property to be a transition area allowing medium density residential zoning.
As I stated at the meeting, this is a very difficult tract with it's triangular shape, the power
lines and railroad tracks and the lack of access to either MacArthur or Belt Line. Because of
these conditions, over half of the lots will not have neighbors across their alley as they would
in a typical development. Few buyers will think of this as a positive reason to purchase a new
home.
After visiting with the City staff, I am told that the Ordinance to be passed on June 9th could
grant me SF-7 zoning rather than SF-9, if you so choose. This will allow me to develop (4)
four additional lots which I can not do with the SF-9.
I respectfully request that you consider changing the zoning from TH-1 to SF-7.
Should you have any questions, please give me a call.
Sincerely, ~
Steve Parsons, managing partner
