Mrs. Diamond:
Please honor this request to postpone the Public Hearings scheduled for Riverchase Golf Club currently
scheduled for August 16, 2007 (Planning and Zoning Commission) and September 11,2007 (City Council
Meeting). We are requesting to be re-scheduled for September 20,2007 (Planning and Zoning Commission) and
October 9, 2007 (City Council Meeting). This additional time will allow us to meet with the Home Owner's
Associations and the Residents of the area surrounding the Country Club to discuss the details of this request
and to attempt to satisfy their concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you

RESCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING
You were recently sent a notice of a public hearing schedule for August 16th on
Case No. PD-230-Q, Riverchase Golf Course, a zoning change request from SF-
12-SUP and SUP-1037-A (Single Family-12 with a Special Use Permit for a and
Special Use Permit-1037-A) to PD-230-0 (Planned Development-230-0ffice) to
establish a non-residential zoning district on the existing Golf Course property
including the existing Club House, and to amend Ordinance 297-A-83 (S-l 037.1)
to delete condition 2, (private club regulations) on approximately 95.5 acres of
property located east and west of Riverchase Drive, north Belt Line Road, at the
request of Robert Sievers, Addison Law Firm.
The applicant has requested that this public hearing be rescheduled to
September 20, 2007 to allow additional time to meet with neighboring property
owners and to respond to questions. Therefore there will be no Dublic hearina
on Auaust 16, 2007 on this reauest.
Summary and Purpose of this request:
State and local laws prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages within property
zoned for residential uses. Riverchase Golf Course is currently zoned SF-12
(Single Family - 12) with a Special Use Permit for a golf course allowing for the
consumption of alcoholic beverages. The purpose of this request is to establish
a non-residential base zoning (PD-O) to allow the golf course and club to
pursue a Mixed Beverage Permit instead of a Private Club Permit from the state.
The proposed PD-Q Zoning District will be tied directly to the existing golf
course, club house and ancillary uses. No additional development on this
property is being proposed nor permitted.
