RE: 5-1247 -5F-12. T -Mobile (First Assembly of God Church
Dear Pastor Collver:
This letter is to inform you that Case No. 5-1247 -SF_-12. T -Mobile (First Assembly of
God Church), zoning change request from SF-12 (Single Family-12) to S-1247-SF-
12 (Special Use Permit-1247-Single Family-12), to allow wireless communication
antennas to be mounted inside a proposed 70-foot high bell tower and a
20' x20' shelter constructed at the base, located at 200 S, Heartz Road, was
recommended for approval by the Coppell Planning and Zoning Commission
(6-0) on Thursday, August 21, 2008, with the following conditions:
1, Delineate the dimensions of the planting area and number of wax myrtles
being located on the east side of the building (to replace landscaping
removed by this proposal),
In addition Pastor Collver, the Planning Commission has directed me to bring to
your attention expressed concerns discussed at the public meeting regarding
perceived problems with activities occurring on church property - specifically
the baseball program, It was stated that the baseball field is unsightly with water
hoses hanging from the fence, trash containers being full and trash blowing
within the neighborhood. Also, parking problems along Woodhurst Drive were
mentioned as adding to neighborhood concerns,
As the property owner, please make every effort to resolve the baseball field
problems before this case is heard by the City Council on September 9th, If these
concerns are addressed by that date, the zoning request should receive little, if
any, opposition,
The date scheduled for consideration by the Coppell City Council is Tuesday,
September 9, 2008, at 7 p.m. A representative for this case must be present at this
meeting, which will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall. Failure to represent
this item may result in the denial of this application. City Council has instructed
staff to include in its agenda packets only those items that accurately reflect

conditions as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Therefore,
please submit to the Planning Department three (3) 24"x36" copies of the revised
plans, reflecting the above-stated condition on or before 12 noon, Wednesday,
August 27th. Also, please submit one (1) 8W'x11" paper reduction of each revision,
along with one jpg, tiff, pdf, or a similar electronic file.
