Remarks:
A. Please revise all plans and plat(s) based on staff recommendations. Should
the applicant disagree with staff comments, please provide reasons why staff
recommendations should not be followed when you attend the April 2, 2009
Development Review Committee (ORC) meeting.
B. Each applicant will bring two new sets of revised plans and plat(s) to the
April 2, 2009 ORC meeting. Applicants will be asked to show, explain and
defend any revision. A representative of the project is required to attend this
meeting.
C. The applicant will have until noon, April 7, 2009 to submit 12-24' x 36' sets,
FOLDED, and three (3) reduced paper copies (8 1/2 X 11) and JPEG. TIF.
PDF OR SIMILAR ELECTRONIC FORMA T of each exhibit. Only two sets of
revised preliminary engineering and irrigation plans are required. Reductions
and electronic copies are not required of the engineering and irrigation plans.

Engineering DiWanna Baskins 3/25/2009 1) Heartz Road should be the only road to provide
entrance and egress to the charter school site. London
Way should not be used to access the school property.
2) Consider the onsite vehicle circulation shown on the
exhibit provided; "entrance only" from the northern most
driveway off of Heartz Road and "exit only" from the
southern most driveway off of Heartz Road.
3) The 18' radius of the curve, encompassed by sidewalk,
located at the top portion of northwestern face of the
building may need to be modified in order to ease the
turning radius due to circulation.
4) Will the charter school incorporate a bus system for
transporting students to and from school? If so, where is
the proposed drop off site for buses?
5) Explain the water service abandonment.
Fire Administration Tim Oates 3/24/2009 The Fire Department has no comments concerning this
Special Use Permit application at this time.

REVISE TITLE BLOCKS ON ALL SHEETS TO REFLECT
MANARA ACADEMY.
SITE PLAN
1. Verify number of existing parking spaces, it
appears that there are only 110 vs. 113.
2. Include location of dumpster, and the proposed
(existing?) screening.
3. Add hours of operation to Site Plan sheet.
4. Indicate maximum number of students, per
grade including Grade 8 (ultimate).
5. The site plan indicates 17 classrooms, and the
written narrative indicates K-5 will occupy 16 classrooms.
What will happen when grades 6,7, and 8 are added?
Will the number of K-5 classrooms be reduced or will
additional classrooms be added (i.e. conversion of
Fellowship Hall/Nursery?) It appears that adequate
parking would be available with the increase in number of
classrooms.

7. Need to provide additional data on projects
drop-off/pick-up, will buses be used? Would there be a
separate drop-off/pick-up area for buses?

ELEVATIONS
1. Need to provide detailed information on the
proposed attached signage to assure compliance with the
Sign Ordinance.
2. Need to add a note on the monument sign that
will be externally illuminated, if illuminated at all.
