Staff ReportSTAFF REPORT S-10Z2 This is the petition of McDonald's Corporation, requesting a change in zoning from Retail to the Commercial Special Use Permit district classification on a 0.987 acre tract. The property is located approximately Z01 feet south of the southwest intersection of Denton Tap Road and Sandy Lake Road. If the Special Use Permit is approved, this will allow the operation of a restaurant on this site. Seven (7) notices were mailed to property owners within Z00 feet of this request; none of the reply forms were returned. This zoning request is being made per the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance, Section Zg, Special Use Permit section. A restaurant is allowed in a retail zoning district; however, due to the petitioner requesting a drive-thru in addition to the restaurant, it must be placed in a commercial zoning district. All DRC comments have been addressed; therefore, staff has no objections to this request. The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommeded approval of this request by a vote of (6-0) at the July Z3, 1987 meeting. TB/lsg
