(C.S.U.P.) Commercial with a Special Use Permit for an
automobile service center, Case #S-1031, located at the
northwest corner of Denton Tap and Sandy Lake Road, at the
request of Skyhawk Venture.
Planning and Zoning Coordinator Taryon Bowman made the presentation to
the Council. Ms. Bow-man stated that the Kepner Company is requesting a
zoning change from (C) Commercial to (C.S.U.P.) Commercial with a
Special Use Permit for an auto center to allow retail sales,
installation of automobile tires and automotive services. Mark Connel]
questions. Mayor Duggan then declared the public hearing open and asked
for those persons who wished to speak against the proposed zoning
change. There were none. He then asked for those persons who wished to
speak in favor of the proposed zoning change. Again, there were none.
The public hearing was then declared closed. Councilmen Wilkerson
requested that a letter addressed to him dated March 3, 198F from Mr.
Connell be recorded in the records (copy attached). ¥ollowin~ further
discussion Councilman Wolfe moved to approve a zoning cbange from (C)
Commercial to (C.S.U.P.) Commercial with a Special Use Permit, Case
#S-1031, located at the northwest corner of Denton Tap and Sandy Lake
Road, at the request of Skvhawk Venture with letter attached.
Councilman Cowman seconded; motion carried unanimously with Mayor Pro
Tem Stanton, Councilmen Wilkerson, Pettijohn, Morton, Smothermon, Cowman
and Wolfe voting in favor of the motion.
PLATTING
Item 10: Consider approval of a preliminary plat for the Meadows
Addition, Section 6, located at the southeast corner of Samuel
Boulevard and Parkway Boulevard, at the request of Meadowgien
Properties.
Planning and Zoning Coordinator Taryon Bowman made the presentation to
the Council. Ms. Bowman stated that if the preliminary plat for the
Meadows Addition, Section 6, is approved the plat would allow the
construction of seventy-eight (78) lots on 21.1 acres of land, and the
plan does meet the requirements of the "Planned Development" recently
approved by City Council. Mr. Paul Unzicker was available to answer
questions. Mr. Hinkley also addressed the Council and stated that he
has met with the Home Owners Association tc review this plat. Following
further discussion of this item Mavor Pro Tem Stanton moved to approve
the preliminary plat for the Meadows Addition, Section 6, located at the
southeast corner of Samuel Boulevard and Parkway Poulevard, at the
request of Meadowglen Properties. Councilman Wolfe seconded; motion
carried unanimously with Mayor Pro Tem Stanton, Councilmen Wilkerson,
Pettijohn, Morton, Smothermon, Cowman and Wolfe voting in favor of the
motion.
Item 11: Consider approval of a Final Plat for the Valley Ranch Plaza
Addition, located at the southwest corner of MacArthur
Boulevard and Belt!ine Road, at the request of Albert Halff
and Associates.
Planning and Zoning Coordinator Taryon ~owman made the presentation to
the Council. Ms. Bowman stated that if the plat is approved as
presented the plat will allow the construction of retail pad sites on
~~ this tract. Councilman Morton moved to approve the final plat for the
Valley Ranch Plaza Addition, located at the southwest corner of
g/~/~ MacArthur Boulevard and Beltline Road, at the request of Albert Halff
and Associates. Councilman Wolfe seconded; motion carried unanimously
