Dear Sir/Madam: The undersigned is Director of Cc~nunity Development for the city of Grapevine, Texas. We recently received frcm the city of Coppell a Notice of Public Hearing on a request for a change in zoning filed with the city of Coppell by the Gifford-Hill Co. on a tract of land (the "Property") located south of the Dallas/Denton County line and west of State Highway 121 (see copy of map locating the Property received from the City of Coppell enclosed herewith). We respectfully submit this letter in accordance with the Notice of Public Hearing and request that it be read into and made a part of the record of the public hearing on this matter before the City Council of the City of Coppell to be held on September 13, 1988. The Property is included in an area which has been previously annexed by the City of Grapevine (Grapevine Ordinance No. 70-35) and was made the subject of a 1975 agreement apportioning the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the cities of Grapevine and Coppell, with the Property being located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Grapevine pur~nt to that agreement (Grapevine Ordinance No. 75-40; Coppell Ordinance No. 156). Because the Property is located within the corporate limits of the City of Grapevine, the property owner will acquire no rights from the proposed rezoning, as the Property is subject to the ordinances, rules and regulations of the City of Grapevine. Therefore, the property owner will proceed at its own risk in any development of the Property which is inconsistent with those ord{nances, rules and regulations. Sincerely, H. ~.
