TREE PRUNING NOTES AND SPECIFICATIONS
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ISA CERTIFIED ARBORIST,
PROPERTY OWNERS, AND JOHN ELIAS WITH THE CITY OF COPPELL
TO VERIFY OBJECTIVES PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY PRUNING OR
TREE REMOVAL ACTIVITIES.
2. ALL PRUNING SHALL BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED ISA CERTIFIED
ARBORIST.
3.
ALL PRUNING SHALL FOLLOW ISA'S TREE PRUNING GUIDELINES OR
MOST RECENT ANSI A300 PRUNING STANDARDS, AND ANSI Z1333
SAFETY STANDARDS.
4. ALL CREWMEMBERS SHOULD BE WEARING THE APPROPRIATE
SAFETY GEAR: HARD HATS, EYE PROTECTION, APPROVED BOOTS,
HEARING PROTECTION, CHAIN SAW CHAPS FOR GROUNDWORK.
5• NO PRUNING ACTIVITIES MAY COMMENCE IF BORING INSECTS ARE
PRESENT.
6. A MAXIMUM OF 20% OF LIVE WOOD SHALL BE REMOVED.
7. NO LIVE WOOD GREATER THAN 4 INCHES IN DIAMETER SHALL BE
CUT.
8. RAISE BRANCHES TO PROVIDE APPROXIMATELY 8' CLEARANCE
OVER SIDEWALKS, AND 14' CLEARANCE OVER STREETS.
9. PERFORM CROWN THINNING 2 " -3" MAXIMUM ON TREES. CANOPY
REMOVAL SHALL BE PERFORMED AS NEEDED TO MEET THE
OBJECTIVES, BUT LIMITED TO 15% MAXIMUM FOR EACH TREE.
10. ANY TREES REMOVED, AND ALL TREE MATERIALS
REMOVED SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY AT
THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
11. ALL TRASH AND DEBRIS FROM ANY CONSTRUCTION
RELATED ACTIVITIES SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE
AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE, FOLLOWING COMPELTION
OF THE PROJECT.
12. ANY DAMAGE TO THE EXISTING LANDSCAPE, PAVEMENT,
BUILDING, OR ANY OTHER SITE FEATURES SHALL BE
REPLACED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND /OR RESTORED TO
PRE- CONSTRUCTION CONDITION.
