3. The contractor shall be responsible for protecting all existing
improvements in the construction of this project. The contractor is
responsible for repairs of damage to any existing improvements during
construction. Repairs shall be equal to or better than condition prior t#

Contractor shall center one segment of the waterline pipe over the
sanitary sewer main such that the joints of the waterline pipe are
equidistant and at least 9' horizontally from thecenterline of the
sanitary sewer main. The waterline shall be a rninirnurn of 2' above
the sanitary sewer main. The crossing ohoU be centered between
joints of the sanitary sewer nnoln. The sanitary sewer main 'shall be
embedded in cement stabilized sand for the total of one pipe
segment plus 12" beyond the joint on each end. Cement stabilized
sand bedding ohoU have o rn|n|rnurn of 10% cement per cubic yard
of cement stabilized sand mixture based on loose dry weight
volume (at least 2.5 bags of cement per cubic yard of mixture).
The cement stabilized sand bedding ohoU be a rnlninnurn of 8"
above and 4" below the sanitary sewer main. Contractor shall use
o nnlnirnunn of 18' pipe segments at the crossings.
