RE: PD-292-SF-12, Coppell Middle School East,
Dear Mr. Macias,
This letter is to inform you that PD-292R-SF-12 (Planned Development 292 Revised-SF-12) to
allow the construction of a 7,800-square foot classroom addition, 13,800-square foot gym addition
and a 2,500-square foot cafeteria expansion, on 24.7 acres of property located at 400 Mockingbird
Lane was recommended for approval by the Coppell Planning & Zoning Commission (6-0) on
Thursday, June 21, 2018, subject to the following conditions:
1. Additional comments will be generated at the time detail engineering review of the
grading, drainage, utility and paving plans, and building permit.
2. This property shall be platted prior to a C.O. for any of the expansion areas.
3. Drafting issues
a. Correct the scale on Sheet C0.300
b. Remove the “D use” at the end of Site Restriction d.
The date scheduled for consideration by the Coppell City Council is Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at
7:30 p.m. A representative for this case must be present at this meeting, which will be held in
Council Chambers at City Hall. Failure to represent this item may result in the denial of this
application. City Council has instructed staff to include in its agenda packets only those items that
accurately reflect the conditions as recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Therefore, please submit to the Planning Department two (2) 24”x36” copies of the revised plans
reflecting the above-stated conditions on or before 12 noon, Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Also,
please submit one (1) 8½”x11” paper reduction, along with a PDF electronic file.
