RE: PD-140R-SF, Deforest Road Fence Section Removal
Dear Mr. Armstrong,
This letter is to inform you that on Thursday, August 20, 2020, PD-140R-SF, Deforest Road Fence
Section Removal, a zoning change request from PD-140-SF to PD-140R-SF (Planned
Development-140 Revised-Single Family) to allow the removal of approximately 490’ of wooden
fencing on the south side of Deforest Road and north side of the alley abutting properties addressed
at 802-838 Cheshire Drive, was recommended for approval by the Coppell Planning & Zoning
Commission (7-0) subject to the following conditions:
1. The fence removal shall be limited to the segment from the southeast corner of the alley
right-of-way at Deforest Road to the section of fence that is approximately 75 feet from
the eastern end of the white railing.
2. The vegetation that is growing between the bridge and fencing be removed with the
removal of the fence.
The date scheduled for consideration by the Coppell City Council is Tuesday, September 8, 2020,
at 7:30 p.m. A representative for this case must be present at this meeting, which will be held
virtually, similar to the Planning & Zoning Commission ZOOM Call. A link to the meeting will
be provided prior to the meeting date. Failure to represent this item may result in the denial of this
application. City Council has instructed staff to include in its agenda packets only those items that
accurately reflect the conditions as recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Therefore, please email a PDF electronic file of the revised Exhibit showing the new limits of the
fence removal on or before 12 noon, Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
