Notice of P&Z 6/20/91 mtg. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Coppell will hold a public hearin§ on the 20th day of June, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. in the Coppell Town Center, for consideration of a zoning change, Case #S-1053, at the request of Southwestern Bell Telephone Systems, from (LI) Light Industrial, to (LI-SUP) Light Industrial Special Use Permit, for the erection of a 64' monopole telephone tower, on property generally described as follows: approximately 992 feet south of the intersection of Royal Lane and Thweatt Road, along the east side of Royal Lane. All interested citizens of the City of Coppell and other parties of interest are invited to attend this public hearing and participate in the same. Any citizen of the City or other party of interest may also express his or her opinion concerning the proposed zoning change request by letter addressed to the City of Coppell, Planning Department, P.O. S1053NOT 47497114 P. 82 LAND USE: STATEMENT Sl~ecifi~ Use Permit Flequest Royal Lane, East Slcte 922 feet south of Thweatt Road SITE: The site is at the rear portion of a 4,673 acre tract (Hager Containers Addition), The Hager Containers Addition is on the East Side of Royal Lane, 922 feet south of Thweatt Road. The site is now undeveloped and contains 2400 square feet of land. ZONING: The site is zoned Light Industrial (Li). All other property in this area is also zoned Light Industrial. AREA LAND USES. The property in this area is undeveloped, There are light manufacturing uses and a U. S. Postal center approximately 1 mile south of the site. THE REQUEST.' This request is for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a Cellular Mobile Telephone ceil site. The cell site consists of an antenr~a and a small equipment building. The Building contains electronic equipment which transmits telephone calls. The cell site functions to provide mobile telephone service to the immediate area, Cellular phones are used by businesses, individuals, law enforcement and emergency services such as fire and ambulance service. CELL SITE: The cell site consists of an antenna and a small equipment building. The antenna is on a monopole. This is simply a single pole with the antenna at tl~e top. The antenna pole is fifty (50) feet tall. The maximum height is sixty-four (64) feet when the antennas are mounted on the pole. The building is eleven feet wide and twenty- six feet long and ten feet in height. The building contains electronic equipment that transmits telephone calls, it is self contained. There are no employees at tills site. The cell site will be surrounded by a six foot security fence. The cell site does not make any noise and does not interfere with other types of telecommunications in the area
