Letter re revised design re P&ZDunning Development Corporation 7001 Preston Rd. Suite 500/LB 36 Dallas, TX 75205 (214) 528-1905 December 31, 1987 Ms. Taryon Bowman City of Coppell 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell, Texas 75019 RE: Mobil Service Station Southeast Corner of Beltline and MacArthur-Coppell, Texas Dear Taryon: Enclosed are twelve copies of the revised Mobil architectural renderings for the referenced site. These renderings have been changed in response to the planning and zoning commission's recommended denial of the standard Mobil brick service station. I have also enclosed a copy of the previously approved Mobil/7-11 convenience store/service station concept and a copy of the previously approved Exxon service station rendering. Taryon, it was my impression that when the approval for the gas station was received, the City Council was aware that each service station would likely request modifications to the rendering. I think that the revisions by Mobil which will incorporate the identical materials used in our shopping center, represent a tremendous effort on Mobil's part to comply with the spirit of the SUP. These renderings, especially when compared to the Exxon renderings, are clearly not a standard Mobil service station and have been generated by their architect specifically for Coppell. Mobil Oil will have representatives from the corporate design and graphics department and their architect, Mr. Alan Goldberg, on hand for the City Council meeting to answer any questions the Council may have. I appreciate your handling this submittal on our behalf and should you have any questions or need further information, please contact me. PED:jms Enclosures
