This is the petition of Chevron U.S.A., r~~d by Mr. Kyle~,
requesting a change in zoning from the Retail district to a Retail Special Use
Permit classification on a 0.70 acre tract of land.
If the Special Use Permit is approved, it will allow the operation of a gasoline
service station, car wash and convenience store.
Nine (9) notices were mailed to property owners within ZOO feet of this request.
None of the reply forms were returned.
This request is being made per the requirements of the zoning ordinance, Section
Zg, of the Special Use Permit section. Each of these requests are allowed
in Commercial-type zoning districts; however, a Special Use Permit must
be obtained in order to do so. The petitioner is also requesting approval of
two (Z) variances.
(a) To build thirty-five (35) foot wide approaches
into the property.
(b) The approach along east bound Beltline Road
be constructed 140 feet from the intersection.
Ail DRC comments have been addressed; therefore, staff has no objections
to this request.
The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of S-1021, S-10Z3
and S-10Z4 at the July 23, 1987 meeting.
