Letter re Bank of Am. att. sign MEMORANDUM
TO: Greg Jones, Building Official
FROM: ~ary L. Sieb, Director
SUBJECT: Kroger Food Store Site Plan--Signage
DATE: August 7, 1996
Greg, as we have discussed, there is some confusion regarding the number of signs allowed on
the Kroger Food Store building, and specifically, whether a Bank of America sign was approved
with the adoption of the amending ordinance.
I have attached to this memo a portion of the City Secretary file relating to this case, and upon
close observation of the 8 1/2 by 11 copy of the approved site plan elevation of the front of the
building, it can be seen that a Bank of America sign was allowed by Council. I have also
included a larger copy of the site plan which more clearly shows the bank sign. The size of the
sign calculates to roughly 2'-10" by 12'-8" and totals roughly 35 square feet. I believe this sign
conforms to the signage limitation condition of the approved plan, and would suggest that the
Bank of America sign can be permitted.
If additional information is desired regarding this subject, please contact me at your convenience.
