RE: Revisions for S-1124R, Communications Antenna, Zoning Change
Dear Pert:
Enclosed please find a list of resolutions to the comments made towards Nextel's Special Use
Permit application for a telecommunication site.
En~ineerim, -
1. Nextel has coordinated with the City to align the entrances of our access road and the
cities proposed park access road, see site plan. A right-of-way dedication is in the process.
2. Nextel is requesting to have a gravel driveway and parking area due to the environment it
is located in. The site is approximately 1300 feet away from the main road and located inside of
a horse pasture. It is surrounded by large trees and shrubs. We felt that concrete would not be
appropriate for this site. It is my understanding Planning & Zoning and City Council have the
authority to approve the site, if they see fit, with a gravel access and parking area.
3. Construction drawings submitted with information.
4. Void per City Engineer, 3/6/97.
Buildim, Insoection -
1. Landscape requirements have been met. Irrigation issues goes as follows, Nextel will
agree to hire a landscaping company and care for the shrubs once a week for three months or
until the end of the summer which ever is longer. After this time the shrubs will be maintained
once a month. Any dying or dead shrubs will be replaced.
2. The percentage of masonry has been covered.
3. Gravel access & parking will be submitted on the drawings.
4. According to the Building Inspector the Rear Yard Setback has not been met. It does not
read in the Zoning Ordinance that the setbacks are effective inside of the leased space. It is
assumed the setbacks should be taken from the property line. There is over 1,800 feet of vacant
land on the back side of our site. Therefore, I will be keeping the drawings as is, in hope that
Staff will see the unnecessary need for this request.
